Upon your arrival in Beijing,
our English-speaking tour guide will meet
you at the airport. After claiming your luggage,
you will easily find our guide holding a welcome
sign with your name on it. Transfer to your
hotel. Afternoon at leisure to overcome jetlag.

Visit Tiananmen Square,
the Forbidden City (the Imperial Palace) and

Square: Located in the center of Beijing, it covers an area of 440,000 square meters with 880 meters long east-west and 500 meters long south-north, it can hold more or less one million people at one time. Tian'anmen Square houses many important buildings and leads to the tourist entrance to the Forbidden City. Tiananmen Square has been a crucial political place to hold national ceremonies, grand public gatherings and to greet foreign leaders.
City: The largest
and best-preserved wooden architecture complex
in the world. Located in the Beijing city
center behind Tiananmen Square, the Forbidden
City is encircled by a 52-metre-wide moat
along the 12-meter-high wall. It served as
the imperial palace for the 24 emperors in
Ming and Qing dynasties from 1420 to 1911.
Palace: The Summer
Palace is virtually a museum of classical
Chinese garden architecture. Covering an area
of 290 hectares with water making three quarters
of it, the Summer Palace consists of three
functional areas: Court Area, Longevity Hill
Area and Kunming Lake Area. Kunming Lake is
most beautiful, and the best time to enjoy
it is in the summer to take a cruise by boat
and have skiing in the winter. In 1998, it
was designated as a World Heritage Site and
in 2007 it was officially authorized as a
National 5A-leveled Tourist Attraction.
Duck Dinner: Beijing
Roasted duck is renowned as the most delicious
food of Beijing.
Opera: China boasts
of more than 300 local operas, Beijing Opera
is the largest one among Chinese traditional
opera types, which gradually came into being
after 1790. Full of Chinese cultural facts,
Beijing Opera presents the audience with an
encyclopedia of traditional culture, as well
as unfolding stories, exquisite costumes,
beautiful paintings, graceful gestures and

Wall Of China: The
Great Wall is ancient military defence work
which extends to more than 5,000 kilometers.
The Badaling section is not only the best
preserved but also the most impressive and
representative section of the Great Wall.
It is located roughly 70 kilometers northwest
from the center of Beijing. It is a defensive
outpost of the Great Wall occupying a commanding
strategic position. The wall was made wide
enough for five or six horses to be ridden
abreast on its top. In peacetime, the Wall
has proved useful as a highway, transporting
people and supplies over large distances.
Because of its magnificence and beauty of
its scenery, Badaling gained the worldwide
reputation by being enlisted in the World
Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 1988.
Tombs: Located at
50 kilometers northwest of Beijing proper,
the Ming Tombs are Mausoleums of 13 emperors
from Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Each tomb complex
starts with a stone bridge, followed by a
front gate, a stele pavilion, the Gate of
Eminent Favor, the Hall of Eminent Favor,
a watchtower and then the Precious Hall. Zhu
Di, the third emperor of the Ming Dynasty,
built his Changling Tomb, this is the best
preserved tomb area. The underground palace
at Dingling Tomb consists of an antechamber,
a central chamber and a rear chamber plus
the left and right annexes.
- Nanjing (Breakfast

in the South-Eastern part of Beijing, the
Temple of Heaven is the largest still existing
sacrificial temple in China. It was used as
the site for imperial sacrifices during the
Ming and Qing dynasties. It was here that
the emperor conducted the elaborate and most
exalted sacrifices addressed to "the Supreme
Ruler of the Universe" to ask for the heavens
blessings and good harvest.
River Bridge: An
important symbol of Chinese self-reliance
and until the late 1970s, the story of its
construction was often told in primary school

Visit the Dr. Sun Yatsen's Mausoleum and the
Nanjing Museum. Drive to Wuxi
in the afternoon.
Sun Yatsen's Mausoleum:
Construction of the magnificent 130-hectare
mausoleum of Dr. Sun Yat-sen (1866-1925),
the great forerunner of China's democratic
revolution, began on the Purple Hills in 1926
and was completed three years later. Sheltered
by hill slopes, the mausoleum has 392 stone
steps leading up to the coffin chamber which
is 70 metres from the lowest part of the mausoleum,
a height which gives visitors a sense of reverence.
The memorial hall in front of the coffin chamber
is covered with a two-tiered roof of deep-blue
glazed tiles. With pines, cypresses, fruit
trees and other plants growing in the vicinity,
the mausoleum has developed into a beautiful
Established in 1950 as a museum for Jiangsu
Province, it collects, preserves, and displays
important historical objects discovered in
the province. The display areas have distinctive
features of Chinese architecture modeled on
the wooden structure from the eleventh century.
The museum has exhibits from prehistoric times
to the Qing Dynasty. There are bronzes from
the Shang Dynasty, Han pottery, coins, weapons,
tools, rare photographs of the area, paintings,
clocks, exquisite furniture, textiles, and
handicrafts from various dynasties.

Visit the Taihu Lake, the Liyuan Garden and
the Turtle Head Islet. Drive to Suzhou.
Lake: With an area
of 2250 square kilometres and an average depth
of 2 metres, Taihu Lake (or Lake Tai) is the
third largest freshwater lake in China. Some
90 islets, large or small, plus the presence
of many fleets of fishing junk boats add to
its landscape, making it a remarkable spectacle.
Garden: One of the
famous gardens for lake scenery in South China
since the 40% of the garden is covered with
Head Islet: Wuxi's
most attractive park and the best place to
admire the beauty of Taihu Lake.
Visit the Zhuozhengyuan
Garden, the Huqiu Garden, the Wangshiyuan
Garden and the Liuyuan Garden.
Garden: The largest
garden in Suzhou, it occupies not more than
four hectares of land. The architectural techniques
employed in building the Suzhou gardens recreate
an environment of hills and streams which
give a feeling of being in nature. The Humble
Administrator's Garden was built in 1522.
Much of the garden is water surface and all
the structures either face water or are surrounded

built in 961 and the Sword Pool. The Cold
Hill Temple (Hanshan Temple) in the western
suburbs also draws many tourists.
Wangshiyuan Garden: Built
in 1174 A.D. during the Song Dynasty, is characteristic
of the most exquisite garden-houses in Suzhou.
Garden: The best
garden in Suzhou. Built in the Qing Dynasty,
the garden is divided into several sections,
each with buildings, rockeries, ponds, trees,
flowers and grass. Doors and windows of these
buildings vary to give various views of the
rocks, water and plants beyond.

Visit the Six Harmonies Pagoda.
Harmonies Pagoda: An
outstanding example of ancient Chinese pagodas.
The octagonal pagoda rises 59.89 metres high
on about 0.1 hectare of land. It is built
in such a way that it appears to have 13 storeys
from outside while it has only seven storeys
inside. Standing on the bank of the Qiantang
River, it commands an ideal view of the river
and the surrounding area.
Visit the Lingyin Temple,
the West Lake, the National Silk Museum of
China and the Red Carp Pond.
in 326 A.D, it is one of the most ancient
monasteries in south China. A legend has it
that the Indian monk Huili had the temple
built here after he decided that an immortal
was hidden in the graceful peaks and grotesque
rocks. The temple is a complex of halls, towers
and pavilions in several courtyards surrounding
the Grand Hall.
West Lake: Two metres
in depth and 5.6 square kilometres in area,
the lake lies in pleasing proportion to the
hills on the north, west and south. Solitary
Hill Island which stands in the lake, Su Causeway
and Bai Causeway which run across the water
surface combine to cut the lake into five
parts. Three islands rise above the water.
Several dozen species of flowers are grown
on the Little Yingzhou Islet including a variety
of different roses, lilac, magnolia, and crab
Silk Museum of China: Opened
to the public in 1992, the museum displays
the history and culture of silk in China.
With a building area of 8,000 square kilometers
and a display area of 3,000 square kilometers,
the Silk Museum owns eight exhibition halls;
there are a lot of cultural relics from the
Stone Age, tourists can see a piece of fragmentary
brocade that dates back 5,630 years.

Visit the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. Have an
evening cruise over Huangpu River.
Pearl TV Tower: With
a height of 1,245 feet, it is one of the tallest
structures in Asia.
Pu River: A tributary
of the Yangtze and there is plenty of traffic
on it to prove its importance. You'll see
the magnificent building skylines on both
the historic west side (the Bund), and the
modern east side (Pudong) as well as the working
area of coal boats filling barges and sending
them downriver. It's fun to see such lively
river life as well as Shanghai's amazing skyline.

Visit the Shanghai Museum,
the Yu Yuan Garden, Shanghai Old Street and
former French Concession. Have a stroll over
the Bund. Enjoy the Portman Acrobatic Show
in the evening.
Museum: A large-scaled
museum of ancient Chinese art. Established
in 1952, this museum is housed in a former
bank building. Shanghai Museum is renowned
at home and abroad for its rich collection
of 120,000 precious cultural relics. At present
the halls display Chinese bronzes, ceramics,
and paintings arranged in chronological order.
Yuan Garden: Originally
designed in the sixteenth century, Yu Yuan
is a garden within a garden. Divided into
two parts, the outer garden contains pavilions,
rock gardens, and ponds and leads to the inner
garden, which is a smaller version of the
French Concession: The
French Concession is the area of Shanghai
once designated for the French. Today, the
area's central Huaihai Rd is a busy shopping
street, but the tree-lined avenues and their
many Tudor mansions still retain an air of
the "Paris of the East".
Bund: With a length
of 1 km, the bund is dotted with various grandiose
solid buildings of western style dating back
to the early this century in its west. Due

it, you must advise us in advance. The letter
must be signed by the lead name on the booking
and once we receive it you should expect to
receive a cancellation letter within 24 hours.
If you do not then please contact us to ensure
your letter has been received.
To cover the cost of processing your cancellation
and to compensate us for the risk that we may
not be able to resell your travel arrangements,
we make a cancellation charge on the scale shown
below. The person who made the booking is responsible
for paying this charge. The size of the charge
depends on when we receive your cancellation
notice or letter or how you would like us to
deal with your payment providing that we have
received your full payment for the tours.

fee for an extra bed is Single Supplement, and

Your earlier arrival to Beijing later departure
