Our tour guide will meet you in your hotel
lobby at 08:30 in the morning. Tour to the
Sera Monastery and Norbulingka. After lunch,
visit the Tibet Museum. Transfer back to your
Monastery: Built in 1419, it is one of
the six main monasteries of the Gelugpa of
the Tibetan Buddhism. The monastery is famous
for the daily spiritual debates of the monks.
Covering an area of 114,946 square meters,
Sera Monastery has many Buddha statues and
beautiful murals in the halls.
Norbulingka: Built by the 7th Dalai Lama
in 1755, it was the former summer residence
of the 8th Dalai Lama. Norbulingka means Jewel
Garden in Tibetan, it has an abundance of
chapels, gardens, fountains, and pools as
well as a variety of beautiful flowers and
Museum: Covering an area of 54,000 square
meters, it demonstrates a traditional Tibetan
architectural style. Starting with the prehistory
of Tibet, the multiple halls cover a variety
of interesting exhibits: Tibetan handicrafts,
costumes, jewellery, weapons and musical instruments.
