In the early morning, drive to
Panda Research Base to visit the
Pandas. Back to Chengdu in the
Research Base: The Chengdu
Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding
(hereafter Chengdu Panda Base)
is a non-profit organization engaged
in wildlife research, captive
breeding, conservation education,
and educational tourism. The Chengdu
Panda Base was founded in 1987,
with six giant pandas rescued
from the wild. In 2007, the captive
population has increased to 62
individuals from that founding
population of only six.
Go to Jinli Old Street to do some leisure
walk. Transfer to the airport for your departure,
end of service.
Originally built during the Shu Kingdom (221
A.D.-263 A.D.), Jinli is a very busy street
with a history of over 1,700 years. Visitors
will find numerous small stores selling Shu
Embroidery, handicrafts, antiques, and souvenirs
in the street.
